Architectural &
Structural Design.
A clearer path
to building.

Bring your site, ideas, and budget together. Exact Estimating helps you define the project, develop architectural concepts, coordinate structural requirements, and understand construction costs.

From an idea to a defined project

Make the important decisions before construction begins.

A successful project starts with more than a floor plan. The building, site access, parking, structure, services, and budget all need to work together.

Whether you have an undeveloped property, a sketch, or an existing building to adapt, we help organize the next steps into a clearly defined design and estimating scope.

Our services

Plan the whole project.

Choose a focused planning package or a coordinated scope across the disciplines your project needs.

01 / FEASIBILITY

Site feasibility & preliminary planning

Explore how the proposed building and outside spaces could fit the property.

  • Building footprint and site utilization
  • Preliminary zoning and setback considerations
  • Parking, circulation, and accessible routes
  • Fire access, drainage, and utility considerations
  • Alternative layouts and site constraints
02 / ARCHITECTURE

Architectural planning & concepts

Translate your intended use into a practical arrangement of spaces.

  • Space programming and floor planning
  • Room relationships and circulation
  • Conceptual elevations and building form
  • Accessibility and life-safety coordination
  • Layout refinement and design review
03 / STRUCTURE

Structural design coordination

Connect the architectural layout with the structural requirements it creates.

  • Foundation and framing concepts
  • Column locations and clear-span needs
  • Roof systems and large openings
  • Coordination of wood, steel, masonry, or concrete systems
  • Engineering inputs and scope definition
04 / BUILDING SYSTEMS

MEP & fire-safety coordination

Identify the systems and space allowances needed to support the building.

  • Heating, cooling, and ventilation needs
  • Electrical service and lighting concepts
  • Plumbing and restroom requirements
  • Fire-protection and alarm coordination
  • Equipment space and routing considerations
05 / EXTERIOR WORK

Civil & site coordination

Consider the exterior work alongside the building design.

  • Site access and parking layout concepts
  • Grading and stormwater coordination
  • Water, sewer, and utility connections
  • Walkways and exterior improvements
  • Survey and geotechnical input requirements
06 / COST PLANNING

Construction cost estimating

Understand the financial implications of the proposed scope.

  • Conceptual budgets and trade breakdowns
  • Detailed quantities as drawings develop
  • Labor, material, and equipment costs
  • Allowances, assumptions, and exclusions
  • Scope alternatives and value comparisons

Services and deliverables are defined in your project proposal. Discipline-specific design, calculations, and professional seals are subject to the agreed scope and the responsible professionals’ review.

Churches & community buildings

Designed around the people who use them.

A place of worship needs to support services, gathering, teaching, administration, and everyday use. Planning those activities together helps reveal the building and site requirements early.

We can help evaluate seating goals, supporting rooms, parking, access, and budget as one coordinated brief.

Capacity and site suitability are evaluated for the specific property, proposed use, and applicable review requirements.

A phased approach

Know what comes next.

01

Share your brief

Tell us the location, intended use, approximate size, budget, and target schedule. Share available plans or site information.

02

Review feasibility

Identify site constraints, missing information, and the planning questions that could change the scope.

03

Develop & coordinate

Refine the agreed architectural concepts and coordinate structural, building-system, and site inputs.

04

Estimate & plan ahead

Review the budget, assumptions, and deliverables, then define the additional work needed for the next project phase.

Clear deliverables

A package matched to your project stage.

The proposal sets out what we will prepare, which disciplines are included, the review process, and the delivery schedule.

Conceptual planning and estimating packages do not automatically include final permit or construction documents. Surveys, geotechnical and environmental investigations, permit fees, and construction services are separate unless expressly included.

Feasibility findingsSite constraints, planning considerations, and options to investigate.
Concept drawingsAgreed floor plans, site concepts, and elevations appropriate to the phase.
Coordination notesStructural, MEP, and civil inputs, open questions, and required information.
Cost estimateAn organized trade breakdown with stated allowances, assumptions, and exclusions.
Next-phase scopeFurther design, professional review, and documentation needs.

Common questions

Before you get started.

Can you help if I do not have drawings yet?

Yes. Start with your project location, intended use, approximate building size, and budget. Available surveys, property information, sketches, and reference images help us define a feasibility and conceptual planning scope.

Do you provide architectural and structural work together?

The proposed package can combine architectural planning with structural design coordination. We define the required disciplines, professional responsibilities, and specific drawings or calculations in the proposal.

Are stamped drawings and permit documents included?

Only when expressly included in the written scope. Any required seals must be provided by the appropriately licensed professional responsible for that discipline and jurisdiction. The proposal identifies professional review and stamping arrangements, along with any separate permit-document phase.

Can you assess whether a church fits on my property?

A feasibility review can examine the proposed building, seating goals, parking, circulation, accessibility, and exterior needs. Final suitability depends on the site information and applicable local requirements; alternatives can be explored where constraints arise.

How much will it cost and how long will it take?

Fees and turnaround depend on the project size, available information, disciplines, and drawing detail required. We provide a project-specific quotation and schedule after reviewing your brief.

Does this include construction or guaranteed approvals?

Construction services and authority approvals are separate from planning, coordination, and estimating. Your proposal will identify the services being provided and the next steps needed before construction.
